Video on my mind
I have been thinking about using video on the web recently. I wrote about Ephipheo on Friday and stumbled onto a local restaurant favorite of mine's website that uses video.
These two experiences got me talking to owner of one of the web sites I manage about video and to my surprise she was interested in doing something with video.
Now the first thing to say is the videos by Ephipeho are light years ahead of what Margie's has put on their website, but I applaud Margie's initiative. Can we do a video that fits in between these two initiatives, I am hoping so, if for no other reason then cutting hair has got to be more visually exciting then making fast food, even good fast food.
Of course we can also utilize my daughter's band (Neon 10) for a soundtrack to the video so this blog entry and all of its cross usage are a plus right there. Might as well throw in a free plug for my favorite Neon 10 video while we are here.
The irony of all this video talk is I am currently in London listening to the Bears beat up the Lions using audio over the Internet and Jeff Joniak and gang do a great job of making me feel like I am at the game. So as important as it is to utilize video, where appropriate, at the end of the day it is the message and the delivery that really matter.
Here is hoping my video efforts hit the mark.
Let me know your thoughts on video and media for communicating your businesses message.
