Facebook, Twitter, Blog Integration, the Next Step

In a previous post, I have talked about the automatic updating of Twitter whenever a new post is made to this blog and that has been working very well using twitterfeed.

While that has been working, I have still had to manually post the blog entries to my Facebook page. So tonight we are going to do an experiment with this blog entry and see if we can get it pushed to both twitter and facebook.

The plan is to make two changes, one is to add Selective Twitter as a new Facebook app and the second change is to update my twitterfeed profile to add on the #fb tag to end of the tweats created by twitterfeed.

Since I have made both of the changes, if all goes to plan, when I publish this post, twitterfeed will push it to Twitter and then Selective Twitter will push it to Facebook. If not, I will manually post it to Facebook and discuss what happened in a future blog posting.
